Ann was born on May 19, 1947 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (Lawrynowicz) Juhnowski.

She was born Dec. 12, 1912, in Middletown, daughter of the late Emanuel and Rose (Papa) Filanda. A member of St. Colman Church, Helen was a 1940 graduate of New School of Hairdressing; she also loved to travel, spending winters in Puerto Rico.
